Planning Poker for Google Meet
Last updated: 6 march 2026
Overview
Planning Poker for Google Meet is a Chrome extension that allows teams to run planning poker sessions directly inside Google Meet.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping data collection to a minimum.
This extension does not collect, store, or sell personal data.
Data We Collect and Use
The extension collects only what is needed to run planning poker sessions. This includes:
- Session data: Session names, session IDs, and task titles.
- Participant data: The display name you enter when creating or joining a session. We do not collect your Google account name, email address, or any other identity information.
- Voting data: The estimates or votes you submit, and which task they belong to.
- Local data: The same kinds of data (current session, current user, cached session state) are also stored locally on your device by the extension so the panel can work without refetching every time.
We do not collect or access: email addresses, Google account details, meeting content, chat messages, audio, video, or any browsing activity outside of Google Meet.
Where Data Is Stored
- Firebase (Firestore): Session and voting data are stored in Google's Firebase cloud service so that all participants with the same session ID can see the same session in real time. Firebase is a Google service; data stored there is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's Terms of Service.
- On your device: The extension also stores a local copy of the current session, your display name, and your last-used settings using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your device independently and is removed when you uninstall the extension.
How Data Is Used
Data is used only to operate the extension:
